Kryvche nowadays is a village in Borshchiv region, about 25 kilometers to the south on the road leading from Borshchiv to Melnytsia Podilska.
A town under the name of Oplakana (former name of Kryvche), situated on the bank of the river Tsyganka was known since 1650. It was attacked by enemies many times.
In the Austrian times Kryvche became a small town in Borshchiv region, but remains now as the village famous all over Ukraine.

It is the underground cave that Kryvche is
