Ternopil oblast is an administrative unit of Ukraine, that includes eastern part of Halychyna and a part of former Volyn’. Ternopil oblast is situated on the Western part of the Podil plateau, and borders on Rivne oblast in the North, Chernivtsi oblast in the south, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast in the south-west and Lviv oblast in the west. Ternopil oblast is near the state borders with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, exactly in few hours ride by car.
