Skalat was first mentioned in 1512, when it was a part of Terebovlya district.
There’s really not so much to see as you can imagine it. The castle itself will take not more than
15 minutes of your time. It looks actually better on the photos. 
Usually people visit Skalat only as a part of their long distance trip.
